दिसंबर में ही जमी चार फीट तक की बर्फ

चमोली। इस वर्ष दिसंबर माह में अच्छी बर्फबारी हुई, जिसका सीधा असर फूलों की घाटी में खिलने वाले फूलों पर देखा जाएगा। विश्व धरोहर फूलों की घाटी में फूलों को खिलने के लिए दिसंबर और जनवरी माह में अच्छी बर्फबारी की जरूरत होती है। इस साल घाटी बर्फ से ढकी हुई है। समय पर बर्फबारी होने से इस साल फूलों की घाटी में अच्छे फूल खिलने की उम्मीद है। पिछले साल जनवरी माह में भी घाटी में बर्फ नहीं थी, मगर इस साल दिसंबर में ही बर्फबारी से यहां तीन से चार फीट तक बर्फ जमा है।
घाटी का निरीक्षण कर लौटी वन विभाग की टीम ने वहां की स्थिति बताई है। भारतीय वन्य जीव के पूर्व निदेशक व फूलों की घाटी के विशेषज्ञ जीएस रावत का कहना है कि घाटी में कई ऐसी प्रजाति के फूल खिलते हैं, जिनके लिए बर्फबारी अत्यंत जरूरी है।
कहा, बर्फबारी कम होने से कई दुर्लभ प्रजाति के फूल खिल नहीं पाते हैं। इस साल समय पर बर्फबारी हुई, ऐसे में घाटी में अच्छी फ्लावरिंग की उम्मीद है। आने वाले दिनों में भी बर्फबारी की उम्मीद है जो फूलों और वनस्पति के लिए बहुत लाभदायक होगी।
फूलों की घाटी की वन क्षेत्राधिकारी चेतना कांडपाल का कहना है कि हाल ही में विभाग की टीम घाटी का निरीक्षण कर लौटी है। टीम ने बताया, घाटी में इस समय तीन से चार फीट तक बर्फ है। घाटी के लिए बर्फबारी बहुत लाभदायक है।
