दुर्गंध, मच्छरों और जल प्रदूषण से महिलाओं-बच्चों की सेहत पर मंडरा रहा खतरा
देहरादून। उत्तराखंड महिला कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ज्योति रौतेला ने आज धर्मपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र में स्थित कारगी कूड़ा प्रबंधन यार्ड से उत्पन्न जनस्वास्थ्य और पर्यावरणीय संकट को लेकर जिलाधिकारी देहरादून को एक विस्तृत ज्ञापन सौंपा। ज्ञापन में यार्ड के तत्काल विस्थापन की मांग की गई है।
रौतेला ने कहा, “कारगी यार्ड से उठती दुर्गंध, मच्छरों का प्रकोप और जल स्रोतों का प्रदूषण क्षेत्रीय जनता के लिए अभिशाप बन चुका है। महिलाएं, बच्चे और वृद्धजन इस संकट से सबसे अधिक प्रभावित हैं। यह केवल स्वच्छता का नहीं, बल्कि जीवन की गरिमा का प्रश्न है।”
ज्ञापन में निम्नलिखित प्रमुख बिंदुओं को रेखांकित किया गया:
– यार्ड से उत्पन्न दुर्गंध और प्रदूषण से अस्थमा, एलर्जी, डेंगू जैसी बीमारियाँ बढ़ रही हैं।
– बरसात के मौसम में कूड़े का रिसाव जल स्रोतों को प्रदूषित कर रहा है।
– मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर प्रतिकूल प्रभाव, विशेषकर बच्चों और महिलाओं में चिंता और असहजता की स्थिति।
महिला कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष ज्योति रौतेला ने प्रशासन से मांग की कि यार्ड को किसी गैर-आवासीय, पर्यावरणीय रूप से उपयुक्त स्थान पर स्थानांतरित किया जाए और स्थानांतरण तक नियमित सफाई, छिड़काव और दुर्गंध नियंत्रण की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित की जाए।
