देहरादून। मुख्य सचिव राधा रतूड़ी के उत्तराधिकारी के तौर पर आनंद बर्द्धन को सबसे प्रबल दावेदार माना जा रहा है। शासन में तैनात अपर मुख्य सचिव आनंद बर्द्धन उत्तराखंड के अगले मुख्य सचिव हो सकते हैं। मुख्य सचिव राधा रतूड़ी का सेवा विस्तार 31 मार्च को खत्म हो रहा है। इस बार वह यही जिम्मेंदारी दोबारा निभाने की इच्छुक नहीं मानी जा रही हैं।
बर्द्धन 1992 बैच के उत्तराखंड़ कैडर के अधिकारी हैं। मौजूदा समय में उत्तराखंड की नौकरशाही में बर्द्धन सबसे वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी हैं। वरिष्ठता के आधार पर उनके मुख्य सचिव बनने की पूरी संभावना है। आधिकारिक सूत्र भी बर्द्धन को मुख्य सचिव बनाए जाने की संभावना जता रहे हैं। वैसे बर्द्धन का केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति के लिए भी सूचीबद्धता हो गई है। लेकिन बर्द्धन उत्तराखंड में रहकर ही अपनी सेवाएं देने के इच्छुक हैं। हालांकि उनके केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति के लिए सूचीबद्ध होने पर उनके केंद्र जाने के कयास भी लगाए गए थे।
लेकिन बातचीत में आन्नद बर्द्धन ने साफ किया था कि उनका केंद्रीय प्रतिनियुक्ति पर जाने का कोई इरादा नहीं है। राज्य में बर्द्धन के बाद दो वरिष्ठ आईएएस अधिकारी हैं,जिनकी मुख्य सचिव पद के लिए निर्धारित सेवा अवधि पूरी नहीं हुई है। इनमें 1997 बैच के आईएएस प्रमुख सचिव आरके सुधांशु मुख्य सचिव कार्यालय में तैनात हैं और 1997 बैच के ही आईएएस दूसरे प्रमुख सचिव एल फेनई हैं। इस आधार पर आनंद बर्द्धन के मुख्य सचिव बनने की पूरी संभावना है। राधा रतूड़ी पहले भी दो बार सेवा विस्तार ले चुकी है लेकिन इस बार उन्होंने सेवा विस्तार लेने से मना कर दिया है।

आधिकारिक सूत्रों के मुताबिक, मुख्य सचिव राधा रतूड़ी ने मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त के पद के लिए आवेदन किया है। मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त पद के चयन की प्रक्रिया गतिमान है। माना जा रहा है कि मुख्य सचिव का कार्यकाल समाप्त होने से पहले सरकार मुख्य सूचना आयुक्त की नियुक्ति कर सकती है।
