देहरादून। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने शनिवार को एक पेड़ मां के नाम अभियान के तहत अपनी माताजी श्रीमती बिशना देवी के साथ पौधारोपण किया। मुख्यमंत्री के सुपुत्र दिवाकर ने भी इस अवसर पर पौधा लगाया। इस पहल का उद्देश्य प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को अपनी माँ के सम्मान में एक पेड़ लगाने के लिए प्रेरित करना है, ताकि भावनात्मक जुड़ाव के माध्यम से पर्यावरण संरक्षण को जन-आंदोलन बनाया जा सके।
मुख्यमंत्री धामी ने कहा कि “माँ जीवन की पहली गुरु होती हैं और पर्यावरण हमें जीवन देता है। माँ और प्रकृति दोनों की सेवा करना हमारा कर्तव्य है। यह अभियान समाज में पर्यावरण के प्रति जिम्मेदारी का भी संदेश देता। मुख्यमंत्री ने प्रदेश की जनता से अपील की कि वे अपनी माताओं के नाम से एक पौधा अवश्य लगाएँ और उसका संरक्षण स्वयं करें।
इस अवसर पर प्रमुख सचिव आर. के सुधांशु, प्रमुख वन संरक्षक समीर सिन्हा और अपर सचिव बंशीधर तिवारी मौजूद थे।
