देहरादून। मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट पौड़ी की अदालत ने पिंजरे में कैद गुलदार को जिंदा आग के हवाले करने वाले तत्कालीन ग्राम प्रधान सहित पांच ग्रामीणों को एक-एक साल कारावास की सजा सुनाई है। अदालत ने पांचों दोषियों को एक एक साल के साधारण कारावास की सजा के साथ 3500-3500 का अर्थदंड भी लगाया है। अर्थदंड जमा नही करने पर दोषियों को 15 दिन के अतिरिक्त कारावास की सजा भुगतनी होगी। पाबौ ब्लॉक के सपलोड़ी गांव में बीते 24 मई 2022 को पिंजरे में कैद गुलदार को आक्रोशित भीड़ ने जिन्दा आग के हवाले कर दिया था। प्रकरण में वन दरोगा की तहरीर पर कोतवाली पौड़ी में तत्कालीन ग्राम प्रधान सहित पांच नामजद व 150 अज्ञात के खिलाफ वन्य जीव संरक्षण अधिनियम लोक सेवक के कामकाज में बाधा सहित विभिन्न धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया गया था।
विकास खंड पाबौ के भट्टी गांव, सरणा, कुलमोरी व सपलोड़ी सहित क्षेत्र के कई गांवों में वर्ष 2022 में गुलदार की लगातार आमद में दहशत बनी हुई थी। सरपतोड़ी गांव निवासी सुषमा देवी अपनी सहेली के साथ 15 मई 2022 की शाम को हरियालीसैढ के जंगल में काफल लेने गई थी घर लौटते समय शाम साढ़े छह बजे गुलदार ने सुषमा पर हमला कर दिया। जिसमें सुषमा की मौत हो गई थी। घटना के बाद ग्रामीणों की मांग पर वन विभाग ने 16 मई 2022 को सपलोड़ी में दो पिंजरें लगाए थे। जिनमें से एक पिंजरें में एक गुलदार कैद हो गया था। इस दौरान वनकर्मी गुलदार को लेने के लिए गांव पहुंचे, तो क्षेत्र के भारी संख्या में लोगों की भीड़ जुट गई थी।
भीड़ ने पिंजरें में कैद गुलदार को जिंदा आग के हवाले कर दिया था। वन विभाग ने प्रकरण में तहरीर कोतवाली पौड़ी में दी थी। तत्कालीन वन दरोगा बुआखाल अनुभाग सतीश लाल की तहरीर पर पुलिस ने तत्कालीन ग्राम प्रधान सहित पांच लोगों पर वन्यजीव संरक्षण अधिनियम, लोकसेवक के कामकाज में बाधा, आपराधिक हमला सहित विभिन्न धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज किया था। पुलिस ने अदालत में 20 जुलाई 2023 को आरोप पत्र दाखिल किया था। मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट पौड़ी लक्ष्मण सिंह की अदालत ने सपलोड़ी के तत्कालीन ग्राम प्रधान अनिल कुमार नेगी, चोपड़ा के देवेंद्र सिंह व सरणा गांव की सरिता देवी, भुवनेश्वरी देवी व कैलाशी देवी को पिंजरें में कैद गुलदार को जिंदा जलाने का दोषी पाया है।
