देहरादून। नगर निकाय चुनाव का 23 जनवरी को मतदान होना है। ऐसे में अब प्रत्याशियों ने मतदाताओं को अपने पक्ष में करने के लिए पूरी ताकत झोंक दी है। यमुना कालोनी वार्ड 33 से कांग्रेस की उम्मीदवार सुमित्रा ध्यानी ने अंतिम प्रचार दिवस पर ताबड़तोड़ जनसभाएं करने के साथ ही घर-घर जाकर वोट मांगे।
निवर्तमान पार्षद सुमित्रा ध्यानी ने कुम्हार मंडी में बैठक की। जिसमें बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय जनता मौजूद रही। सुमित्रा ध्यानी ने पिछले पांच वर्षों में हुए विकास कार्यों को गिनाने के साथ ही अगने पांच वर्ष का रोड़ मैप जनता के सामने रखा। उन्होंने कहा कि उनका एक ही लक्ष्य है यमुना कालोनी वार्ड को मॉडल वार्ड के रूप में विकसित करना है। आपको बता दें कि चुनाव प्रचार के तहत बीते रोज और आज दिनभर वार्ड के विभिन्न कालोनियों और बस्तियों में घर-घर जाकर अपने समर्थन में प्रचार कर रही।
सुमित्रा ध्यानी ने चुनाव प्रचार के तहत आज कुम्हार बस्ती और सैयद मोहल्ले में कई नुक्कड़ सभाए की। सुमित्रा ध्यानी का कहना है कि वह यमुना कालोनी को आदर्श वार्ड बनाने का संकल्प लिए है और वह चाहती है कि पूरे प्रदेश में यमुना कालोनी वार्ड माडल वार्ड बनें। इस दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले पांच साल के दौरान उन्होंने इस क्षेत्र की बेहतरी के लिए हरसंभव प्रयास किये हैं।
उन्होंने कहा यहां की नालियों की साफ-सफाई के अलावा सड़कों को गड्ढामुक्त करना, स्ट्रीट लाइट की व्यवस्था करना, बुजुर्ग और विधवा पेंशन शिविर के साथ ही मेडिकल कैंप और आयुष्मान कार्ड भी बनवाए हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि यहां की महिलाओं को आर्थिक रूप से संपन्न करने के लिए सिलाई-कढ़ाई केंद्र भी शुरू किया जाएगा और नौनिहालों के लिए लाइब्रेरी की व्यवस्था की जाएगी। उन्होंने क्षेत्रवासियों को आश्वासन दिया है कि यमुना कालोनी वार्ड का चहुमुंखी विकास करेंगी।
