देहरादून: उत्तराखंड में क्रिकेट की सबसे बड़ी संस्था क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन ऑफ उत्तराखंड (CAU) के आठ पदों के लिए चुनावी प्रक्रिया औपचारिक रूप से 29 अगस्त से शुरू हो गई है। नामांकन दाखिल करने की अंतिम तिथि आज, 30 अगस्त शाम 4 बजे तक निर्धारित की गई है। आगामी 6 सितंबर को मतदान कराया जाएगा और उसी दिन शाम को परिणाम भी घोषित कर दिए जाएंगे।
CAU चुनाव के लिए 15 अगस्त को अधिसूचना जारी की गई थी, जिसके बाद 29 अगस्त सुबह 11 बजे से नामांकन प्रक्रिया शुरू हुई। अब 31 अगस्त को सुबह 11 बजे ड्राफ्ट मतदाता सूची जारी की जाएगी, और उसी दिन नामांकन पत्रों की जांच कर वैध उम्मीदवारों की सूची शाम 5 बजे तक प्रकाशित की जाएगी।
इसके बाद:

31 अगस्त से 2 सितंबर: नामांकन पर आपत्तियां दर्ज की जा सकेंगी

1 से 3 सितंबर: उम्मीदवार नाम वापस ले सकेंगे (सुबह 11 बजे से शाम 4 बजे तक)

4 सितंबर: अंतिम निर्वाचक नामावली और प्रत्याशियों की सूची प्रकाशित

6 सितंबर: दोपहर 12 से 2 बजे तक मतदान और शाम 3 बजे तक परिणाम घोषित
UPL सीजन-2 की तैयारी पर भी टिकी निगाहें
इस बार का चुनाव सिर्फ संगठनात्मक बदलावों के लिए नहीं, बल्कि उत्तराखंड प्रीमियर लीग (UPL) सीजन-2 के भविष्य को लेकर भी अहम माना जा रहा है। महिमा वर्मा के नेतृत्व में आयोजित UPL-1 ने राज्य के क्रिकेटरों को एक बड़ा मंच प्रदान किया था। लेकिन CAU के बायलॉज के अनुसार, वे अपने सचिव पद का अधिकतम कार्यकाल पूरा कर चुकी हैं और इस बार चुनाव नहीं लड़ रही हैं।
ऐसे में नए सचिव के सामने UPL-2 के सफल आयोजन की बड़ी जिम्मेदारी होगी। यह भी तय माना जा रहा है कि आगामी सचिव ही राज्य में क्रिकेट की आगामी दिशा और दशा को तय करेगा।
स्वतंत्र चुनाव के लिए वरिष्ठ अधिकारी नियुक्त
इस महत्वपूर्ण चुनाव की निगरानी के लिए मिजोरम के पूर्व मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी, सेवानिवृत्त IAS अधिकारी सी. शशांक को मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी नियुक्त किया गया है। उनके साथ वीपी आचार्य और विनोद सहायक निर्वाचन अधिकारी के तौर पर प्रक्रिया को पारदर्शी बनाने में मदद करेंगे।
