देहरादून। उत्तराखंड के कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया। बजट सत्र के दौरान सदन में पहाड़ी समुदाय के लोगों के खिलाफ अमर्यादित टिप्पणी देने के बाद से लगातार उनके इस्तीफे की मांग हो रही थी।
उत्तराखंड के कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया। उन्होंने पहले प्रेसवार्ता कर इसकी जानकारी दी और इसके बाद सीएम अवास पहुंचकर मुख्यमंत्री धामी को इस्तीफा सौंपा। प्रेसवार्ता कर वह भावुक हो गए। इससे पूर्व उन्होंने अपने राज्य आंदोलन में संघर्ष और योगदान को बताया।
उन्होंने कहा कि जो उस वक्त बयान दिया था उस पर उसी दिन सदन में स्पष्टीकरण भी दे दिया था। मेरे भाव बिल्कुल गलत नहीं थे। गाली वाला शब्द भी उनके वक्तव्य से पहले का है। जो न तो पहाड़ के लिए कहा गया और न ही मैदान के लिए। वह पार्टी के पुराने कार्यकर्ता हैं। उनका जन्म उत्तराखंड में हुआ है। कुछ लोगों की ओर से सोशल मीडिया पर ऐसा माहौल बनाया गया। मैं भी आंदोलनकारी रहा हूं, लेकिन आज ये साबित करना पड़ रहा है कि हमने भी प्रदेश के लिए योगदान दिया है। लेकिन आज जिस तरह का माहौल बनाया जा रहा है उससे बहुत आहत हूं। इसलिए मुझे इस्तीफा देना पड़ रहा है।
इस्तीफे के एलान से पहले शहीदों को किया नमन
कैबिनेट मंत्री प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल इस्तीफे का एलान करने से पहले अपनी धर्मपत्नी के साथ मुजफ्फरनगर के रामपुर तिराहा में बने उत्तराखंड शहीद स्मारक पहुंचे थे। उन्होंने अमर शहीदों को पुष्पांजलि अर्पित करते हुए प्रदेश विकास की तरफ बढ़े और प्रदेश में सौहार्दपूर्ण वातावरण बना रहे, इसका संकल्प लिया।
