पीएम मोदी की यात्रा दोनों देशों के बीच घनिष्ठ संबंधों का प्रमाण है – प्रधानमंत्री नवीन रामगुलाम
नई दिल्ली। प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अगले महीने मॉरीशस की यात्रा करेंगे। वे मॉरीशस के राष्ट्रीय दिवस समारोह में बतौर मुख्य अतिथि शामिल होंगे। मॉरीशस के प्रधानमंत्री नवीन रामगुलाम ने इसका एलान किया। रामगुलाम ने इसे दोनों देशों के बीच घनिष्ठ द्विपक्षीय संबंधों का प्रमाण बताया। मॉरीशस के प्रधानमंत्री रामगुलाम ने ‘नेशनल असेंबली’ को संबोधित करते हुए कहा, ‘यह हमारे देश के लिए वास्तव में एक विशेष सम्मान की बात है कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी के इतने व्यस्त कार्यक्रम के बावजूद हमें ऐसे प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तित्व की मेजबानी करने का अवसर मिलेगा।’
हर साल 12 मार्च को मॉरीशस अपना राष्ट्रीय दिवस मनाता है। इसे 12 मार्च, 1968 को ब्रिटिश शासन से आजादी मिली थी। रामगुलाम ने कहा, ‘मुझे हमारे देश की स्वतंत्रता की 57वीं वर्षगांठ के समारोह के संदर्भ में सदन को यह सूचित करते हुए अत्यंत प्रसन्नता हो रही है कि मेरे निमंत्रण पर भारत के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने हमारे राष्ट्रीय दिवस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि बनने पर सहमति व्यक्त की है।’
मॉरीशस के प्रधानमंत्री ने भारतीय नेता के व्यस्त कार्यक्रम का जिक्र करने के लिए पीएम मोदी की हाल की पेरिस और अमेरिका यात्राओं का भी जिक्र किया। रामगुलाम ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की यात्रा हमारे दोनों देशों के बीच घनिष्ठ संबंधों का प्रमाण है। मॉरीशस के राष्ट्रीय दिवस समारोह में पिछले साल राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुई थीं।
