देहरादून। उत्तराखंड के विवेक पांडे ने पुरुषों की 109+ किलोग्राम भारवर्ग वेटलिफ्टिंग में कांस्य पदक जीतकर प्रदेश का नाम रोशन किया है। विवेक की इस उपलब्धि पर खेल मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने उन्हें बधाई दी है।
यह उपलब्धि इसलिए भी खास है क्योंकि पिछले नेशनल गेम्स में उत्तराखंड ने इस श्रेणी में भाग नहीं लिया था। चंपावत जिले के टनकपुर निवासी विवेक ने महज दो साल पहले वेटलिफ्टिंग की शुरुआत की थी। अपनी इस सफलता पर उन्होंने अपने माता-पिता और कोच को श्रेय दिया। खेल मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने विवेक पांडे को इस उपलब्धि पर बधाई देते हुए कहा कि सिर्फ 2 साल के अभ्यास से अपने स्तर को इतने ऊपर तक उठाना बड़ी बात है, इससे इस खिलाड़ी के जज्बे, दृढ निश्चय और समर्पण का पता चलता है। खेल मंत्री रेखा आर्या ने कहा कि विवेक की इस सफलता ने राज्य को वेटलिफ्टिंग क्षेत्र को नई पहचान दी है और उनके इस पदक से प्रेरित होकर उत्तराखंड के और युवा इस खेल की ओर आकर्षित होंगे।
