मतदान केंद्रों पर 18 हजार से ज्यादा पुलिसकर्मी तैनात
117 बैरियरों पर सीसीटीवी कैमरों से रखी जा रही नजर
देहरादून। उत्तराखंड में दिन चढ़ने के साथ ही मतदाताओं में भी खासा उत्साह नजर आ रहा है। प्रदेश में 12 बजे तक 25.70 फीसदी मतदान हुआ है। वहीं, बूथों पर मतदाताओं की लंबी लाइन लगी है। उत्तराखंड के 100 नगर निकायों में छोटी सरकार चुनने के लिए आज मतदान हो रहा है। प्रदेश में 30 लाख से ज्यादा मतदाता आज पांच हजार से ज्यादा प्रत्याशियों के भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे। प्रदेश में कुल 1,516 मतसदान केंद्र और 3,394 मतदेय स्थल बनाए गए हैं। इनमें 592 संवेदनशील और 412 अतिसंवेदनशील मतदेय स्थल शामिल हैं।
मतदान को लेकर सुबह से ही पोलिंग बूथों पर लंबी लाइनें लगने लगीं। दिन चढ़ने के साथ ही मतदाताओं में भारी उत्साह देखने को मिला। युवाओं से लेकर बुजुर्ग और दिव्यांग भी पूरे जोश के साथ मतदान केंद्रों पर पहुंचे और लोकतंत्र के इस महापर्व में बढ़ चढ़कर भारीदारी निभाई।
वहीं, मतदान केंद्रों पर 18 हजार से ज्यादा पुलिसकर्मी तैनात किए गए हैं। चुनाव को देखते हुए पुलिस ने प्रदेश में 185 चेकिंग बैरियर स्थापित किए गए हैं। इनमें 117 बैरियरों पर सीसीटीवी कैमरों से भी नजर रखी जा रही है।
पिछले छह वर्षों के दौरान राज्य में नगर निगमों की संख्या 11 हो चुकी है। श्रीनगर, अल्मोड़ा और पिथौरागढ़ नगर निगमों में पहली बार चुनाव हो रहे हैं। इससे पहले वे नगर पालिकाएं थीं। नगर पालिका किच्छा और नरेंद्रनगर इस चुनाव में शामिल नहीं है।
11 नगर निगमों में मेयर के लिए 72 प्रत्याशी मैदान में हैं जबकि नवासी(89) नगर पालिका, नगर पंचायतों में अध्यक्ष के 445 प्रत्याशी हैं। सभी निगम, पालिका, पंचायतों में वार्ड सदस्य/पार्षद के कुल 4,888 प्रत्याशी अपनी किस्मत आजमा रहे हैं।
आपको बता दें कि इस बार खास तौर पर बैलेट पेपर के रंगों में बदलाव किया गया है। मेयर प्रत्याशियों का बैलेट नीले, पार्षद और नगर पालिका व नगर पंचायत में वार्ड सदस्यों के सफेद बैलेट पेपर रखे गए हैं।
नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष प्रत्याशियों के हरे, नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष प्रत्याशियों के बैलेट गुलाबी रंग के होंगे। सबसे नीचे नोटा यानी उपरोक्त में से कोई नहीं का विकल्प भी मिलेगा।
पिछले निकाय चुनावों की बात करें तो प्रदेश में लगातार मतदान प्रतिशत बढ़ा है। इस बार राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग ने मतदान प्रतिशत और बढ़ाने पर जोर दिया है।
2008 में राज्य में 60 प्रतिशत, 2013 में 61 प्रतिशत और 2018 में 69.79 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ था। इस बार मतदान 70 से 75 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान है।
